Yes

I took a degree in International Relations with a focus in International Political Economy. I used to be anti US intervention, but after learning more in university I slowly became more and more pro US intervention in order to maintain the current western status quo

Ukraine is an up and coming European nation looking to leave the Russian Sphere of Influence. With Miltary support and better economic ties to the west, the threat of Russia could be more effectively countered, the production (primary/secondary/tertiary) of Ukraine could be advanced at a rate Ukraine has never seen which would drastically improve the lives of all Ukrainians, and the rest of NATO would benefit from the Ukrainian food production.

 @9FNJFMD from Georgia disagreed…7mos7MO

Ukraine is still currently locked in war with Russia. If we asked them to join NATO now, we'd then be obligated to retaliate against Russia, leading to them retaliating against us with their allies, and this could erupt into a full scale World War 3

It's a country that's far from perfect but strived to get better and to embrace the values of free world fiercely since 2013. They stand against the very idea of aggressive authoritarianism every day they refuse to bow down to Russian invaders that wish to strip away even more of their rights. Give them a chance and time, they'll join NATO one day and put Erdogan's regime in Turkey to shame.

No

 @9LXXJHQ from Connecticut disagreed…1 day1D

They need NATO to help them and evoke the rule of an attack on one is an attack on all. It can only be done with them joining NATO though.

 @9J397XN from Minnesota disagreed…4mos4MO

It would make no sense if there were someone to say that they do not agree with Ukraine joining NATO.

 @9FP7GGS from Idaho disagreed…7mos7MO

What would it hurt to allow Ukraine into NATO? Peace can be achieved and maintained through superior firepower.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...2yrs2Y

No, this should be decided after the current war ends so we avoid a third world war

 @9LR4R7L from Florida disagreed…1wk1W

If Russia gains Ukraine it has easy access to Transnistria and therefore Moldova, pushing Russian controlled territory up the the Carpathians.

 @9FX8D3T from Virginia disagreed…7mos7MO

Ukraine was an ally before the war began, and Russia was a borderline enemy of the US. Russia was also the aggressor at no provocation by Ukraine. I think the concern regarding a third world war has no substance to it and is unlikely to lead to a major conflict, given how poorly Russia has performed in Ukraine and how ill equipped and ill trained their military is. They are barely a threat to Ukraine, so they are certainly not a threat to the US or NATO. This was further demonstrated by how easily Wagner advanced on Moscow and how the Russian public cheered them on during their advance.

 @9FLTVV5 from Idaho disagreed…7mos7MO

Having Ukraine join NATO will make Russia reconsider their attacks as they are no longer attacking one single nation, they are attacking an alliance and therefore the fault of WW3 would be on them.

 @9FJFPRC from Oregon disagreed…7mos7MO

Russia is aware their military cannot stand up to NATO. Russia could be given an ultimatum to retreat and restore pre-2014 borders within a certain period of time or face military intervention.

No, and abolish NATO

 @9FP7GGS from Idaho disagreed…7mos7MO

If Russia takes the Ukraine, they will keep moving west and try to take back the soviet block countries.

 @9FN7LMBDemocrat from Pennsylvania disagreed…7mos7MO

Yes, Ukraine should be allowed to join NATO. We as a nation vowed to protect Ukraine if they were to fall under attack we should keep our vow to Ukraine. We as a collective organization must help our member states keep their vows.

 @9GG3W8Pfrom Guam disagreed…6mos6MO

Ukraine could be useful to keep Russia at bay, while abolishing NATO would significantly reduce America's influence on Europe - America's foreign interventions are critical in maintaining global peace

 @9FR5PD3from Maine disagreed…7mos7MO

That would be a disaster, and not only metaphorically. That would encourage Putin to invade Poland, Baltic States and maybe Finland, and Xi to invade Taiwan. After that US would become toxic and isolated on international stage because it abandoned all it's allies. That would impact trade, and maybe even cause an economic collapse in US. The rest of the world wound meanwhile be dominated by totalitarian, neo-collonial powers like China and Russia. I really can't think of a worse damage America can inflict on itselt and the rest of the world than the abolishment of NATO
